Write a 500 word article for your music magazine, your word count must be at the bottom of your work.

Think about who your target audience is, and use a suitable style of language.
Elements of a magazine page - this link will help give you design ideas for your article, remember is has to be suitable for your target audience.

Checklist:

1. The article title is intriguing and has visual impact.
2. Strap-line under the article header explains the teaser, or adds further information designed to draw the reader in.
3. Kicker has been used to hook the reader in. Denoted in larger or bold type-face.
4. The introduction has drop caps - they are conventional to guide the reader to the start of the text (another ‘hooking in’ device)
5. Try and use pull quotes to highlight phrases thought particularly appealing to the target audience.
6. If images are used, use a caption for your reader.
7. If you are using stock images can place the credits vertically near the gutter. (The space between the columns is called the gutter).
